What a game. Marion is the real deal, Williamson looks pretty strong too.
Marion went up early, Williamson tied it midway through the 1st half. Marion goes right back on top about 3 minutes later. Williamson ties it again with about 10 minutes left and about 2 minutes after that Marion's #9 puts Marion back on top.
There was a great crowd on hand too, saw a couple coaches out there watching the game including the Alexander coach who got there with about 15 minutes left in the 1st half and sat off to the side scribbling in a notebook.
Marion looked great front to back, #1 was after the ball the entire game and crashing hard on the back post on any crosses from the left side. #9 was just amazing with the ball at her feet and had two great looking goals. #5 in the back was an absolute animal, and was all over the field back there. If they have a weakness it is in goal as she looked really shaky coming out to get balls often getting caught between bounces.
Williamson played a lot of vertical soccer, #3 was very impressive playing sort of as a withdrawn forward in the middle. #1 was excellent on the outside as well and she had some major speed down the right side of the field and goes right at the goal when she gets a chance. #21 had a great 1st half when she was on the field, she is tall and strong on the ball. Marion's keeper spilled the ball several times too, both teams seem to have some issues in goal.
I would put Marion as the top team I have seen in all of Class C this year right now, they were very impressive.
