Substantiate These Rumors

I have heard that Shenise Johnson will be going to MCC next year and that Nicole Jones will be going to UMASS. Has anybody else heard this? I find this very interesting if they are true.

I doubt it very seriously that'll happen, for her not to be playing D1 ball next season something seriously wrong will have to happen. She's a "Blue Chip" Prospect and will not step on the floor at MCC

"in the know" It wouldn't shock me if it happened. MCC is a D1 program. Playing there almost guarantees you a place at a 4 year college. It might be a good move for her.

What about Jones. Is she going to UMASS?

I too saw the post on Syracuse.com, however I have a hard time believing that Shenise would use two years up at MCC when she doesn't need them to get her D1 Attention. She's #8 in the country on some recruiting websites, she's got plenty of opportunities. Not sure about Jones and UMASS

On a personal note, I'd love to see Shenise play @ MCC as it would cement them as a National Power, they already are considered one of the Best Junior Colleges in the Country, so why not add one of the best players.

The only reason she would go to MCC is to solidify her D1 academic qualification. She's a blue chipper right now and she has plenty of time to get her academics in order before graduating. IF she decides to go to SU, it will be seen nationally as a move to "Save" the program or to bring it into the national limelight.

I know she had problems early on in her high school career both socially and academically. Is it possible that she hasn't fully overcome those obstacles? I really don't know. I guess until we hear from her or Shepanski, we will all have to wait until probably November.
