What a huge Joke it is that Bath doesn't place a player on any of the Offensive teams, how does Andre McCloud not make All State? Last time I checked Cody Hutcheson wasn't a linebacker and Bobby Martin wasn't a Halfback, how does Bath only place two players on the team? If my memory serves me correct they were one of the final four teams left in the state in Class B.

The All State Team's are always like this...players left off or put in positions they've never played before. In '05 Brian Fowler made 2nd team DB when he literally played 1 play on defense that whole year. That's just the way it is with all of these All Star teams. It sucks that some of the guys from our teams that deserve the recognition don't get it, but I'm sure a kid like Andre will take winning sectionals over being placed on the All State team anyday.

Congratulations to all the made, especially Attica's Shawn Dupuis. I agree that McCloud should have been at least one of the RBs, on at least the second team. Him being left off completely is a joke.

I am also very happy for Shawn. He is a good kid and a great athlete. It is tough to do these all-state teams. Reporters from different areas each get a vote (all of my kids made it ). I'm not sure how they tabulate it after that.

Ha. I remember that. I can't remember if it was last year or the year before, but that was pretty bad.

Don't get too riled up about the position issue. As has been noted on Syracuse.com over the years, the writers sometimes move kids around (especially running backs and quarterbacks because so many get nominated) to make sure more of the most deserving players get honored.

As for the Bath RB, that was a tough break. But keep in mind that just about every team in the state that makes it to a sectional final (and that's about 26-28 teams when you add in Long Island and New York City, which are eligible for all-state) has a heavy duty RB who averages 100-125 yards a game, which is what I think McCloud averaged. With so many top-notch guys, a few have to lose out.
