Wheatland-Chili vs Geneseo

any predictions?
i think it's going to quite a good game to watch.

Geneseo has a lot of players with a lot of skill that really should not be left unwatched by the wheatland players. Three of the strongest players being 10,11, and 4. A lot of good ball movement made by 10 and 11 up top, and it seems like teams are going to have a tough time trying to beat past number 4 on their defense.

Wheatland looks strong this year as well though, they're playing a very young team this year, but it doesn't look like anything we should under estimate. Many of these players have a lot of potential and after the way they moved the ball around against Hornell, if they stay on their passing game i think they'll have a chance.

Overall i think that Wheatland needs to really mark up 10 and 11 well, and force 11 to her left foot as much as possible, its not as strong. Also i think Geneseo will need to watch how Wheatland moves the ball around in the center through 14 and 25, two very strong players both playing midfeild.

Geneseo's key players are seniors and juniors, but they have several seniors.

Wheatland is the underdog in this game, and i think geneseo will take home the win. However, wheatland was the team who ended geneseo's undefeated streak last year with a 3-2 victory, on their home feild. It'll be interesting game to watch, and I know i will be there tonight to watch.

Geneseo is mostly juniors and seniors this year i believe, whereas wheatland started anywhere from 8th to 12th graders in their first game against hornell.

I predict geneseo taking home the win this year, however i do think wheatland has the potential to win it if they stay on their game.

geneseo beat wheatland 2-0. pretty well played game by both teams. geneseo out shot wheatland it looked like but wheatland did a great job shutting down bono and pavone.

geneseo is such a great team with so much potential this year, and wheatland could go far if they shape up their game a bit.

I talked to a wheatland player who said if there was any team she'd want to lose to it would be geneseo cause they are hands down a well developed team and has a lot of respect for that team as well.

any predictions for the rest of the season for these two teams?

#4 (im not sure of the name) on defense is geneseo's best player. she shut down many potential opportunities for wheatland. it was a well earned win by geneseo. I think both teams have a good chance at winning sectionals or more.

yes i do agree, i can easily say that i thought number 4 is the top player on that strong geneseo team. (as well as 10 and 11). They did earn it, thats for sure. And yes i also agree that both teams have the potential to go very far this year.
Providing Geneseo stays, and or pushes their level of play up even more so, they played amazing for one of their first season games. And i hear that Wheatland is very young as well, but I've yet to really see a team (with the except of 08? i believe) that Coach Ward was unable to make into a great functioning team that really knows how to play a good game of soccer.
